IV bag, wristband, and a job

Japanese story copy is the source for the medical arrival: Simon washes onto the isolated island with an IV bag and a named wristband, hunting a connection to St. Amelia. Steam gives the job: he is called back to put things right. Both are first-party. Together they describe a man who is already injured or treated, already named on hospital paper, and already expected by someone on the island.

Richard speaks through the CRTV and tells Simon to return and settle things. Zoe, a nurse at the local family clinic, also speaks through the noisy pocket television. Those two voices are the public lead. Konami has not published a case file, a diagnosis, or a family tree. The wristband is a named object in official copy, not a gameplay stat block.

First-person framing means you do not watch Simon from behind as a default camera. Official copy calls Townfall the first full-length SILENT HILL game in first person. Close-up stills still exist for marketing: beanie, glasses, burgundy vest, fog behind him. In play, the camera is his eyes, and the CRTV is in his hands.

What Simon can do

Encounters can be melee, firearms, stealth from cover, or distraction. Simon can swing and block, keep distance with a gun, sneak, peek, or lure. The 18-minute gameplay trailer shows him entering St. Amelia's Otherworld with a pistol. None of those verbs are locked to a class. Official copy presents them as choices for the same walk through town.

The CRTV is his analog instrument. It tunes unstable analog signals for nearby threats, story fragments, and the clues that drive narrative puzzles. On PlayStation 5, DualSense motion twists that tuner. Steam lists DualSense controller support for the Windows build as well. Narrative-driven puzzles are tied to CRTV fragments of town life and past events, so Simon's investigation and Simon's combat kit share one object.

Deluxe Edition adds Simon's Outfit: Alternate, a digital cosmetic, plus a digital artbook and mini soundtrack. Standard does not include that outfit. Who plays Simon

gamescom Opening Night Live on 25 August 2026 named Jovan Adepo as Simon Ordell. The Japanese official character page lists 安元 洋貴 as the Japanese voice. Those credits are repeated in Konami EU cast press and Steam news for the Cast Reveal Trailer. Adepo is the English performance; 安元 is the Japanese performance. Steam ships full audio in English and Japanese only.

Simon is one of three named people with public credits. Zoe is Kezia Burrows / 甲斐田 裕子. Richard is Terry O'Quinn / 大塚 明夫. The table for all three lives on Jovan Adepo, which is the cast route even though the H1 is Adepo's name. Konami has not published twelve named portraits, so there is no extra roster family.

If you only needed the one-line pitch: Simon Ordell returns to St. Amelia in 1996 with hospital paper on his wrist, a pocket television in his hands, and two voices on the CRTV telling him to put things right. The rest of this guide is the town, the tool, the stores, and the films.

Adepo's credit is the reason the cast route's H1 is his name. Simon keeps his own heading because players search the character, not only the actor. Both pages share the same three-person table of facts and point at each other.

How to read Simon without a novel

Start with the arrival kit: IV bag, named wristband, job to put things right. Add the tool: CRTV in his hands, Zoe and Richard on the speaker. Add the verbs: melee, firearms, stealth, distraction. That is the playable man. Extra psychology would be fanfic.

The red Otherworld still is Simon in the same civic square the fog stills show, not a second protagonist. The Heart of St. Amelia monument and the protest signs remain in frame. He is still the first-person camera in that red light.

Do not expect a dialogue log or a therapy file. Steam and the Japanese site stop at the wristband, the job, the CRTV voices, and the first-person camera.
