St. Amelia

A fictional Scottish island in 1996

Steam and the Japanese official site both place the story on St. Amelia in 1996. The island is not a real Scottish town and is not Silent Hill, Maine. Fog, civic signage, protest placards, and stone streets establish the visual atmosphere. One official still shows Simon at a monument marked Heart of St. Amelia, with handwritten signs that accuse the town of a crime against its community. That civic anger is in the marketing stills; Konami has not published a civic history or a named mayor.

Japanese story copy says Simon washes onto the isolated island with only an IV bag and a medical wristband printed with his name, hunting a connection to the town. Steam text says he is called back to put things right and finds a fog-quiet town that is abandoned but not at rest. Both versions agree on the island, the year, and the job. They do not name a ferry, a mainland city, or a parish map.

The 1996 date matters for the analog tools. The CRTV is a pocket television that tunes unstable analog signals, not a smartphone. DualSense motion on PlayStation 5 twists that tuner. Town life fragments on the CRTV reach into past events on the island, so the date is both setting and puzzle material.

Shorefront, Zoe's house, and Otherworld

The official Gameplay Trailer, posted 20 August 2026, chapters Shorefront, Zoe's house, and Otherworld combat. Those three labels are first-party chapter names, not a full atlas. Shorefront is the waterfront approach. Zoe's house belongs to Zoe, the nurse at the local family clinic who speaks to Simon through the CRTV. Otherworld is the red, warped layer the trailer enters with a pistol.

Official stills add a hospital ward with a draped bed, cables, and green monitor numerals; a residential street; a fogged square with a clock and a shuttered fish bar; and protest ground around the Heart of St. Amelia monument. None of those stills come with a district name beyond what the trailer chapters already give. Konami has not published a street gazetteer.

Exploration is first-person. Japanese features copy lists 1996 exploration alongside stealth and combat choices, CRTV narrative puzzles, and multiple endings. You walk the island as Simon. You do not get an overhead tourist map from Konami. When a location has an official name, this guide uses that name and links it: Zoe, CRTV, Strategic Stealth and Combat.

Abandoned on the surface

The island looks empty. Store copy still insists it is not at rest. Protest placards, a clinic, a family nurse, and CRTV voices mean people were here and some still speak. Richard, voiced by Terry O'Quinn, summons Simon through the CRTV and tells him to return and settle things. Zoe, voiced by Kezia Burrows, is a nurse at the local family clinic. Those two named residents plus Simon are the public cast. Konami has not published a wider census.

Reality and delusion pull Simon deeper into a grounded, tangible nightmare, in the words of the Steam about text. The Otherworld stills and the red monument shot show how the same civic square can flip. The gameplay trailer treats that flip as a combat space, not a cutscene-only vision. Firearms, melee, stealth, and distraction remain legal there.

If you came from a Silent Hill wiki looking for Toluca Lake, you are on the wrong island. Townfall is a standalone story. Franchise sales figures in Konami EU press do not make St. Amelia a sequel map. Use Simon Ordell for the man walking these streets and Multiple Endings for the official line that how you play shapes the close.

Walking the island without a map

Use Shorefront as the waterfront approach, Zoe's house as the clinic-nurse interior, and Otherworld as the red combat layer. Use the clinic ward still as medical evidence, the monument still as civic evidence, and the fogged square as the everyday street. That is the whole published geography.

When the CRTV plays a fragment of town life, it is pointing at this island's past, not at another Silent Hill map. When Richard tells Simon to return, the return is to St. Amelia. When Zoe speaks, she is the local family clinic, not a radio host in another country.

Keep protest placards in mind as tone, not as a named faction list. Official stills show the signs. Konami does not name the group that painted them. Konami has not named the group that painted the signs.
